Graded Seals

Moores Glass export graded seals to South Africa, and worldwide. Graded seals are used to mitigate the disparity between coefficients of thermal expansion. We accomplish this through the placement of a number of intermediate sealing glasses between the two different glasses at either end. The linear coefficient of thermal expansion has to be similar so as to ensure there is no cracking in the seals.

Moores Glasswork produce over four thousand various grades every month at our manufacturing facility in England, using unique and unrivalled specialist techniques. We have been producing graded seals for many years and as a result of the techniques we have developed we can now provide a broad spectrum of products that fit applications in numerous sectors, such as the scientific, analytical and military industries. Our supremely talented and uniquely skilled glassblowing team as well as our cutting edge tools and equipment mean we remain world leaders in our field.
